Soon after being diagnosed with Cancer I would listen to this song almost everyday. The lyrics still give me chills and was written by someone who nearly died from Liver Disease. It's the Blues, and a great song of hope. I always crank up the volumn at the words, "It Ain't Your Time to Die!" ;I hope you enjoy.

I love it. Blues is one my favourite music types. This particular blues song is better than most in my opinion because the lyrics are actually GOOD - lol. There's a wee bit of bluegrass influence especially at the beginning and some nice harmonica running through it. Only thing missing is a bit of slide guitar and it would be the perfect song.

Have to admit I got a bit of the shivers too when he came out of the water:)Thanks for posting this. I've bookmarked it.

Thanks for this topic. It reminded me of a song that has gotten me through one of the biggest battles of my life, a song I listened to over and over and over again when I was fighting that battle. And facts are I REALLY needed to hear it today and be reminded of it. AND there's a tiny bit of slide guitar :)
