Have any males had to have a prostate biopsy after their rectum has been removed and if so, how was it performed.

Good question, I've often wondered about this. Googled it and didn't find a hint of an answer?
Whatever it is, I bet it's not a simple matter for us Ken butts!!!

There are several ways doctors can perform a prostate biopsy. Check them out at: http://men.webmd.com/prostate-biopsy

Yes, I have had it done twice. It is a procedure that is done in the operating room. They have three ways of getting to the prostate. One is through the penis. The second is under the testicles between there and the rectum. And the last and most difficult is through the stomach. That requires your gastro doctor to be present. I just had it done in September, and all is well.
