Hi all,
I noticed this morning that I have a discolored area at the opening of my ileostomy; it is a small brown/gray area (not discolored from any residual output).
There is no pain or any other issue.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Hi Shash, I would contact your doctor or surgeon and have them take a look at it. If your stoma isn't a beefy red color, it isn't getting a good blood supply. Good luck.

Ron,
Yes, that is what I was thinking. I will give the surgeon a call tomorrow.
It is very strange as the whole stoma is beefy red except for that one small spot, a definite change!

Well Shash,
What did the doctor say? Did you need a prescription or any medication? Is everything okay? Keep us in the light!
