Was just chatting with an old high school mate about the opening bars of which songs that used to make us go YEAHHHHHH, AWWWRIGHT and get up on the dance floor!

These were ours (and remember, it was the early 80's, LOL!)

And of course....

Love it (back when Madonna looked like herself!), they just don't do music videos like this anymore!

Awright Axl! LOL! Sweet Child O Mine was always the final song of the evening at our local nightclub, had the same playlist every bloody week and whenever the below AC/DC came on we knew our favorite Gunners song was about to follow (best opening guitar riff of all time in my opinion!)

Rock on!

You'll have to Google it because I don't have the power to post the actual video, but here's what to look for...

When I listened to that, I kept hearing this!

Personally, I don't have the moves to dance to either of the above, but have been known to make a beeline for the dance floor to this!

AlexT

I was going to say Salt-N-Pepa.

They were always playing this at the clubs.

"Stop all that caterwauling!"

Think I'd prefer some Neil Diamond!

That's more like it, that was a regular on the old club's playlist, and this one too!

Not forgetting the bus stop, there were always one or two idiots who'd be accidentally on purpose going in the wrong bloody direction, LOL!

I'm a little more old school than most of you, and I love the blues when it comes to dancing. One of my faves is 'Automobile' by ZZ Top. Another couple that force me out of my seat are "Are You Gonna Go My Way' and 'Fly Away' by Lenny Kravitz.

Don't know how to post the videos, sorry!

I think Bus Stop is pretty old school (being released in 1966), but I hear ya, totally on board with Lenny and ZZ!

Great choice!

I loved Def Leppard, I used to play this song below on repeat so much it drove my family nuts! LOL!

Another good one!

Now Def Leppard has made me think of my all-time favorite big-haired band of the 80's (definitely got me on the dance floor and/or have to be restrained to not jump the stage!) LOL!

Can't go wrong with Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" either ....then if you totally wanna flip the switch drop it to "Apple Bottom Jeans".....
