I say yes...if it makes you relax a little why not.Not a wine drinker myself,but I craved a shandy when I got out of hospital(shandy is beer with lemonade) and Im not a beer drinker..Maybe try it in small doses first and see how you go. Tara

This site has been a blessing for me in learning how to cope with and navigate this journey as an ostomate. I have a colostomy as a result of a perforation in my colon since May of this year. I don't know yet if it will be permanent or reversible. The people on here have provided me with so much advice and information about living with an ostomy that I don't think I could get anywhere else. You all have given me hope and a place to come to for support. I still struggle with acceptance, but know that it will come if I am patient. Patience has never been my strong suit! Also, I love all the humor, although it really pissed me off when I first came on here. Thanks to all of you.

When I first got out of Hosp. with my urostomy, My visiting Stoma Nurse told me " Dont forget you'r 5 a day healthy fruit & veg" She said however one of those 5 could be Taken in CIDER form ( apple beer) so I allways make sure I 've got a couple of cans in the fridge . I like 6-7% proof...... Well the Nurse did say it was OK lol!!!!

I got a colostimy about a month ago. Had a major infection while in the hospital, now the dink dont work. Been drinking jim beam and coke. can't hurt

hi all went out this sat gone got hammered landed up having three pints and three shots. but really enjoyed it. also had my first real gud nights sleep. im going out next sat on a hen night cant wait. im not gonna let this bag stop me having fun.
