FYI.... can,t help you with a cream but for hair removal I use Coloplast Ostomy Powder... it comes in a small 25 g plastic bottle and last for ever.

Yeah wow, this site helped so much, I mean really who do you know with this infliction? No one, felt so alone and disgusted by myself every turn.
But it ended up being so damn strengthening, I got fucking moving, really only another choice.
That's

I was damaged by a procedure and ended waking with this, I understand all of you.. perhaps you had to have it, I get it.. doesn't matter either way.
Just wanted to share that

Take a walk down the hair removal isle at the drug store. Look for something with aloe so  as not to "burn" your stoma area. I don't have the problem so this is simply a suggestion.

Be careful what you try.....one of my Osty Nurses told me of some gentleman who used his wifes Nair!!  He had one heck of a BAD problem after that.....oooooooooooooouuch........do some careful research before you experiment....I will ask around and if I come up with any good ideas that have worked well I will post here

my surgeon recommended Nair, but i've yet to try it. other than a disposable, i am leaning toward mechanical clippers, which I have yet to go shopping for.

Actually, "mechanical clippers" might not be such a bad idea. I mean, the peristomal area doesn't have to be 100% bald, does it? Why not just get a high quality, gentle type of men's electric razor and give that a try? There are no harmful chemicals involved, no actual scraping or cutting of the skin, etc. It might be an idea solution!

I'm actually going to mention this to Tyler when he gets home from work. I don't think he's tried using a mechanical razor yet!

At first I was using a razor in the shower.  Then I thought about using my electric razor... works realy well once everything is dry... But you have to be quick so you don't "poop" on your razor!!  Or else be very god at directing your "noozle".

With a little skill, I think the electric razor would win hands down.  My skin is snsitive enough with the adhesive plates... I hate to try Nair or some other chemical down there!  ouch.
