My name is Sonja. I have a urostomy that I've had since 1967. The problem I am having is that I'm getting crystals around my stoma. My ET nurse has told me to use white vinegar to get rid of the crystals, and I did that for six months to no avail. I stay away from any food or drink that has citric acid in it. These crystals are so painful that I have to sleep with the bag off at night to get any relief. If there is anybody that has the same problem, please contact me. I NEED HELP! Sonja, this is a bit frightening. Please let us know what you learn. ??Why white vinegar rather than apple cider vinegar?? I keep thinking someone will have a suggestion. Carol
