My two cents!

As a long-time ileostomate, I will say that Eakin rings are the absolute best—at least for me. I have tried the others with no success.

Gotta go back to watching White Lotus now. Someone's going to die soon!

I just heard about this show. How is it?

I don't think it will win any awards, but it's good fun. Three seasons, and it always starts with knowing someone is murdered; then it retraces to the beginning.

Sounds like I might have to try and watch it. And hey, some of this stuff that wins awards really shouldn't, and the good shows that should don't, or they get canceled, unfortunately.

Pete, do you leave any room between the appliance and the ring?

I try to get as close as I can, but sometimes there is a small gap, which is fine. I do put Prep protective skin barrier, made by Coloplast, around my colostomy and the skin surrounding it to protect my skin from any bowel that might touch my skin. I do irrigate, so I don't usually have any issues, but there are times it does its own thing. I think we are told by so-called professionals what we need or how to cover our ostomies, and they are textbook taught; to me, they have no real clue, just what they are taught. Try different things and see what works for you.

Hope this helps.
