I’m going to take a moment to sing the praises of high output pouches for a minute. My personal experiences have been with the Coloplast 11inch High Output pouches.

I recently used them for my recent spinal surgery and they were awesome!

I plan on using them when I have my IV infusions which are 5 hours long, for 5 days to reduce the number of trips to the restroom.

I also plan on using them for long flights. I think they will make long trips especially flights more manageable.

I hope this information is food for thought or a helpful suggestion. If anyone has any other suggestions, would love to hear them!

Thanks,

Rocks

This site has been a blessing for me in learning how to cope with and navigate this journey as an ostomate. I have a colostomy as a result of a perforation in my colon since May of this year. I don't know yet if it will be permanent or reversible. The people on here have provided me with so much advice and information about living with an ostomy that I don't think I could get anywhere else. You all have given me hope and a place to come to for support. I still struggle with acceptance, but know that it will come if I am patient. Patience has never been my strong suit! Also, I love all the humor, although it really pissed me off when I first came on here. Thanks to all of you.

Do the pouches have a spout at the bottom? I’ve asked about high output pouches and they told me Coloplast doesn’t make a bigger one. I love Coloplast but having to deal with Hollister because of high output. Do ya have a part or item number for this pouch? Seriously needing the info. Thanks so much!
