Hi Robb. I’ve had no experience with an inverted stoma but read stuff from others who did. I’m surprised you didn’t get replies but let me suggest a couple things. It might help if you identify the problem(s) caused by the stoma. Does your appliance leak? Does your skin get irritated? Do you need to change very often? You might also get some good advice from your supplier or the manufacturer. Convatec and Hollister have skilled people who listen and offer lots of help. How about an Ostomy Nurse?
Wish you the best and hope you share your progress with us.

This site has been a blessing for me in learning how to cope with and navigate this journey as an ostomate. I have a colostomy as a result of a perforation in my colon since May of this year. I don't know yet if it will be permanent or reversible. The people on here have provided me with so much advice and information about living with an ostomy that I don't think I could get anywhere else. You all have given me hope and a place to come to for support. I still struggle with acceptance, but know that it will come if I am patient. Patience has never been my strong suit! Also, I love all the humor, although it really pissed me off when I first came on here. Thanks to all of you.

I have an ileostomy and an irregular stoma. I use convex products by Hollister. They really help. At the first sign of itching or irritation I change my appliance. In the year and 3 months I’ve had this I’ve only had one really bad skin erosion. I never want that to happen again.
