HenryM : Sounds like serious stuff, Magoo. I watched two Charlie Chaplin movies today: Modern Times (1936) and The Great Dictator (1940). Certainly involved serious subjects, but done in Chaplin's inimitable style. He was hysterical and so talented, I couldn't believe some of the scenes, how well they were done given the limited technology of the time. Chaplin's take on Hitler's speech, including his fakey/pretend German, had me laughing aloud.

Mayoman : Dictator has to be one of the best of all time ! The fact that he and Buster Keaton etc did all their own death defying stunts , just amazing !! These movies were ahead of their time !
Temple Gandin is not deep and sad or depressing at all . She was what you might call a " Cow Whisperer . She taught workers to keep the animals calm and to keep them away from animals that were being slaughtered . The stress has an impact on how meat tastes when cooked , stress Hormones . She made so much sense that they listened and adopted her strategy of stress relief for Cattle , keep them out of earshot and they would stay calm . Apparently if they hear distress in other animals they freak out and can do serious damage to the workers .
" Silence of the Steers" ! Really worth a look Henry ?
Charlie will be on my movie menu !! Thanks for the suggestions .
