Gram Parsons Guitar Pull Meetup for Ostomates

This topic is about a meet-up for ostomates at the 15th Annual Gram Parsons Guitar Pull & Tribute in Waycross, Georgia. The originator of the topic is reaching out to see if any fellow ostomates will be attending the festival and suggests arranging a get-together during the event.

Here are some insights and experiences shared by the originator:

1. She traveled from Atlanta to Waycross with a friend she met on Facebook, who is also a fan of Gram Parsons.

2. Waycross is described as a small, relaxed town. The festival had a friendly crowd, mostly people in their 40s and 50s, along with many children, which was different from what she expected.

3. Some of the musical highlights she enjoyed included performances by Dr. Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys, Jim Lauderdale, and Ian Dunlop, whom she had the chance to meet.

4. This was her first outing of this kind since getting her ostomy, which she affectionately refers to as her "little buddy." She informed her friend about her situation in case she needed to leave suddenly, but everything went smoothly.

5. Her friend was already knowledgeable about ostomy issues because her brother has a pouch due to Crohn’s disease. This familiarity made the originator feel safe and at ease during the festival.

6. She encourages others to consider attending the festival next year and hopes to meet other forum members there.
