About
I have crohns and got a colostomy 10 years ago. I expect to have it for the rest of my life. I make jokes about it when it makes its self known. Of course I'd love to get rid of it. I haven't changed my diet and eat what I want. The viscosity of stools I just deal with as they happen. I tried to flush it out to control discharge but disappointed with the results so I stopped. I usually empty and wash mine in my sink 4 or 5 times daily and 3 times through the night. I change the appliance every other day or sooner if needed. I hope this might help others in my situation.
