About
I have suffered Gi problems since birth and thought my issues happened to everyone until I got where I couldnt go at all. I use to eat certain foods, breakout in hives on my stomach, nose would stop up and then almost pass out from cramps and be throne bound for hours. 3 years ago I became unable to defecate unless hospitalized for a clean-out, which took 2-3 gallons of golytly. My Gi finally sent me to a surgeon for a colectomy w reattachment. All was great until Toradol for a pinched nerve caused the reattachment site to bleed. I bled for over 5 months before telling anyone assuming it was roids or tears. Finally in Oct 2013 I almost passed out and went to Er...my H&H was 6/24...very bad. I spent Oct 12 to Dec 12th getting 20 units of blood, numerous invasive tests, clip and cautery numerous times to no avail. Finally I was given an ileostomy and sent home Dec 20th. No aftercare at all. My pcp and my surgeons fellows all agree I need a revision or reversal but my surgeon refuses to even see me. No insurance. Soon to also have no bags. Im not fussing. Im thankful to be alive.
I spend my time with my grandson who I am raising, my grown kids and my mom. I enjoy reading...some.fiction (no romamce garbage), Greek and Roman lit, science.journals and books. I paint, sculpt, I can make just about anything...it is my gift. I love the water so we go to the beach or lake a lot. I fish. I am currently in the process of writing a book about raising my grandson... He is a rare medical miracle.
Im pretty much an open book.
I look forward to meeting as many people here as possible.
Have a great day, week... Year!
