Hi. I am 35 years old. I have a 13 year old daughter. I have been fighting bowel cancer for the past 18 months; hence my permanent colostomy. After chemoradiation, chemotherapy and two major operations I am currently clear, but have three monthly scans.

I am looking for friendships and possibly a relationship with someone who is like minded and understands the life of an ostomate. From a relationship point of view it's also worth noting that I cannot have anymore children due to radiotherapy so if you want someone to have children with, I'm not your girl. My family and friends are extremely important to me and I see a lot of them. I would like to meet someone who accepts this and is sociable themselves. I try to live as normal a life as possible. Life's too short to sit around feeling sorry for yourself. I accept my stoma (he is called Ziggy - not sure why he's a he but....) and I regularly make inappropriate jokes about my situation, which I understand is not to everyones taste. U have been warned. Lol.

I like to think I'm the right balance of sensible and fun. I enjoy socialising but I'm not a big drinker. I love reading (when I can concentrate for long enough - apparently menopause can effect your concentration ) I like cooking and I make a decent cake. I enjoy exercising though I'm not as fit as I once was.

I'm sure there's more I could write but if I've not already frightened you off feel free to get in touch to ask anything.

Thanks for reading
