late 80's colitis....then surgery for a j-pouch (fairly new at the time) - had pouch for 25+ years no problems, until... 2016. then crohns diagnosis : ( ultimately resulted in a permanent ileostomy, aug 2017. ( was not happy about that)

then sept 2017 ( a month after surgery - also not happy about that either) , diagnosed with a type of cancer -MDS. April 2018 had chemo/stemcell/bone marrow transplant.

currently on the mend ( in remission ) and doing well. about a year since Bone marrow transplant ( BMT) procedure.

like to be active , mountain bike, play hockey ( just got back into it after missing 2 years due to medical issues) also went skiing again which was great!!

I'm amazed to read other peoples stories and can relate to how hard it is to deal with our various medical 'adventures'. It's certainly not easy but what can you do except keep moving forward?
