About
I was diagnosed with bowel cancer (rectal) in April 2018, the news wasnt expected and 3 days later I was in hospital having major surgery (ultra low anterior resection) and woke up with an ileostomy.. At first I couldn't take in what was happening to me as it was so sudden, I dreaded even having to look at my ileostomy, let alone change the bags.. it took me about one month to get used to it.. but eventually got used to it, I am pretty lucky as they got all the cancer out with surgery so I haven't had to have chemo or radiotherapy. Just regular check ups at the hospital.
I am due to have my ileostomy reversal in September 2018, but at the moment, im 'on the fence' as to whether I want it done, as I've heard so many different stories about the reversal.
I am into all things mystical/Spiritual. I love to be by the sea.. I love to travel, I do photography in my spare time as well as spend loads of time with my grandson :)
