I'm new to my ileostomy bag its only 2 weeks old so it's all still a little bit overwhelming

I've come on here to speak to people who are in the same boat and hear about their experiences too,and hopefully make friends with people who know exactly what your going through.
I would love to hear from you all, hear your stories, experiences and any tips you may want to share, being bran new to all this I'm sure there's so much more I haven't met yet.

I have a busy life with my 3 children and 2 horses,so hopefully no more holding me back after recovery 😊

I got Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in Aug 2017,since that i had been admitted to hospital 4 times with setious flare ups,the hospital stays started coming round alot quicker and I had to stay in for longer each time up to 3 weeks,
My body stopped responding to all the meds inc the steroids over time,I'd lost 3 stone,I was a mess! so on the 14th April 2021 they decided to take me down for surgery so that's how I've ended up on here 😊
I really did underestimate the recovery for this surgery it feels like the 1st thing that has managed to keep me down 😔 so I would love to hear how you guys got on after yours please.
