I am a photographer (well was until I got too sick to work!!). I have been living with UC since about 2000, and after a long battle and hoping that yes one day a new medication will work, eventually after finding pre cancer cells, it was time to succumb to "the bag". This was only 3 weeks ago (March 2010). I am really keen to talk to others who have experienced or are experiencing this change in life. I am already loving not having to think about where the nearest bathroom is :-), and not living with daily pain (apart from the surgery pain). Would love to hear from people about the next phase the jpouch and all the ups and downs of this......beginning to already love the predictability of the bag!!

Hi, I have recently had a colectomy and ileostomy whlist I await my jpouch. I am looking for others to talk to, learn from and chat and laugh with.
