Meet & talk to fellow OstoMates 20,336 members

I'm Tricia, married to Paul for 50 yrs, with 2 children,3 grandchildren & 2 step-grandchildren. I was granted my ileostomy at 21 in 1962; It was a relief as I'd had chronic UC since I was 10. I've been one of the many busy volunteers at the West Australian Ostomy Assn for quite a few years, so know a little bit about the goings on. I consider myself lucky to have such a beaut group of people to work with.

The WA Ostomy Assn is open on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9am-1pm for members to collect their appliances. Our quarterly meetings are the first Saturday in February, May, August and November and all are welcome to attend. There is usually an interesting speaker; stomal therapists and company reps are also present and happy to answer questions.

Paul & I have just been up North & down the Centre for three months in our campervan.(July 2011 - that's old news now - we've sold the camper, bought a new car, took it on the train to Adelaide, toured around outback NSW and Victoria from April till June. Easy as, in a warm car).
