My sister, aged 65, was diagnosed this past year with cancer and was operated on twice, once for tumor removal and again for complications following the first surgery. She has had a urostomy bag for 25 years and now has a colostomy bag. She is having a terrible terrible times coping with this situation, is understandably overwhelmed by having two bags, and is battling depression, despair. She refuses to consider any suggestions that she might want to seek counseling/therapy. She is filled with shame and self-disgust. My hope is that the community here can offer me (and through me) my sister some much-needed support, encouragement, uplift. I have been her primary caregiver for nearly a year now and I am completely worn out. Any help/information/support will be so appreciated. Many thanks, Leo
