Mister 1976

I'm studying for my Post Graduate Certification of Education to become a primary school teacher. Can't have any of my own so I thought I could borrow other peoples!

I genuinely try to live with a smile on my face (boom, boom) and see having a colostomy as the start of doing all the stuff that has been put on hold, especially travelling. So I'm always ready to try out the new (expect football because i bloody hate the game).

I really enjoy all things arty be it am dram, painting, sewing, museums and galleries and love escaping in a good book, film or theatre production.

Always easier to to chat and find out - there's always the block button if you think I'm a right weirdo.

SWGDRAM (or single, white, gay, disabled, recovering alcoholic male)so I tick all the right boxes; but only on an equal opportunities form!

Seriously, I am single, and white and most definitely a man who just happens to really like The Wizard of Oz.

I have Spina Bifida which is has got worse in the past few years and was fitted with an artificial urinary sphincter fitted 28 years ago, but will be having an end colostomy op on 12th September 2011.

As for the booze; I'm 2 and a half years sober and don't intend to ever go back to that awful place - loving sobriety too much and have a strong spiritual belief, through AA, in a Higher Power and that everything really does happen for a reason.

It would be lovely to chat with men who are in a similar situation and maybe help each other out with the good, the bad and the damn right ugly bits of life.
