I will need to get back back to you re this three as I have called in my consultant to advise me on the appropriate response to your post (but off the record I loved it and you didn't hear that here).

Dear Mr. Anon,

Your name sounds familiar — there are a number of Anon's living close to me.

So you are going to speak with your consultant. Well, I am interested in etymology, but I was unsuccessful in tracking down the roots of the word "consultant"; however, I am intrigued by the first three letters in that word (but then again I am usually intrigued by other three's).

Several members on this site (who live in Allopath, and who also know I sometimes work as an advanced technique driving instructor) have contacted me privately for advice concerning driving on teflon; and so I will soon initiate a "Driving Tip #1 for Allopathians" thread.

I am very surprised in the fact that your etymological search failed to locate consultant three as I would have surmised that this breed had been in existence for some period of time. But then again if they had they may have been wiped out by now.

You just need to utilise your advanced driving skills knowledge to tell them to get out of their cars prior to a catastrophe.

Safe driving.

Anon's friend.

Interesting cartoon, thanks for the post.  Classic confusion of correlation with causation.  Unfortunately, in a lot of cases it's not nearly as obvious, but the exaggeration in this case gets the point across.

And that's why I take painkillers 4 times a day instead of getting my knees properly repaired or replaced!
