Can anyone help me find cheap pouch covers or patterns to make pouch covers? Thank you.

Take your pouch and make a pattern out of it. Then use it to make pouch covers. All you need to do is make a hole on the inside part, slip the pouch into the cover, and bring it back over the top on the outside. They are not hard to make if you do not want something elaborate.

Hi,
New to sewing, wondering where I could find an actual pattern. My dream is to make custom covers, especially for kids. Thanks, Lindielou.

On the below website, there is a pattern for pouch covers. I'm no seamstress either but found the pattern quite easy to follow.

Amen to that ~jo~ I am no seamstress but am happy with the ones that I have made. Even made a pouch pocket for days when the output is a bit heavy and it holds the weight very well. I hope to make some improvements to the "normal" pouch cover as in a different opening. When I do finally get around to it, I will add to my blog.

Can someone explain why one would need a pouch cover? I don't understand its purpose. Thank you

I don't wear them much anymore, but years ago when I had a bit of a rash or eczema underneath where the bag sits, I found wearing a cover over the bag kept the skin healthy (and in summer, less sweaty). nbsp;

I have a couple with slogans, "Finally a bag to match my shoes" and "My other bag's a Gucci" which I wore to visits to my stoma nurse or doctor, which did cause a bit of a laugh.

I guess there is no real "need" for a cover but sometimes it's nice to have something other than boring beige under your undies, even if you are the only one that sees it! nbsp;

I'm on a Facebook site where I know of one woman who has no problem with flashing her bag and has several color-coordinated covers to match her clothes. It's all just personal preference, I guess.

I've posted the below Dutch website before, but it has some ideas of why people wear them plus all other kinds of ostomy info.
