Help in info I should put on my profile please

Posted by J1967, on Fri Apr 19, 2013 3:53 pm
Hi All

Im new to this today so any hints and tips on my profile would be
much appreciated.

Will post a pic when I have got more confidence in how the site works.

Finding the whole process a bit intimidating to be honest and I am
usually  a confident person.

Thanks in advance guys

You can look at other people's profiles to get a better idea on what to include in yours.

Keep in mind that your profile is not rigid like a resume. Share something about yourself and let your profile evolve as your comfort level and trust in this new community increases. You will find that sharing becomes a lot easier when you get to know us.   PB

This site is very good you wont find a better bunch.
It's really helped me over the past months.
Dont worry about info or pictures its up to you.
I found it so helpful to know I was not on my own and there were people to talk to and get advice from, that have been there and done it.

Or you can run into some of us and never come back to the site.
Whatever you do you can always ignore what we say.
I for myself now tell whoever that they can't call me an a..hole anymore since that is now anatomically incorrect, although it might still be appropriate, but that would be because sometimes I just am.

Other than here, I also find

www.ostomy.org
www.ostomyland.org

to be helpful as well, be it tips and tricks or that sense of community.

You don't have to agonize too much over what you put into your profile; it's not permanent (case in point, mine).

Oh Caryn, keep the lies coming. I love it. And whatever you do ignore Zywie, lol.

But be careful my ego is big enough as it is.

And after your truthful comment you may share my theme song:

As I (still waiting for they) say:after me there is no more.

Oh and btw Facebook Ostomyland is a good group to belong to, as is Inspire.com and ostomyland.com (same as .org?)

But if you can't blow your own horn who will.

Nothing better than being able to laugh at yourself,

Oh if you believe all of the above I have some land for sale in Florida, cheap.

Smile
