Stress and worry

I am on a waiting list for an urostomy, but the wait is making me feel really stressted worried. 

Can anyone give me any  tips on how to stay calm reduce my stress and anxeticy levels while waiting for the operation.

Stress and anxiety are one's instinctive reaction to fear. The best way to handle it, I believe, is to drag your concerns and issues into some daylight. What exactly are you worried about? Be specific and put everything on the table. Are you worried about possibilities or realities? The best weapon we have for fighting fear is knowledge. That said, you may have valid concerns. Focus on what they are and what you will do to address them. Let good planning trump paralysis. I know...easier said than done, but good luck!

My main worry is the recovery and the long time under, and i will my hubby cope when i at home.
