OK, so I'm actually in the chat room now with four other folks. I attempted to "say" hello a couple times and my messages show up highlighted in blue. There's no reference to where or who my messages came from and I really don't think anyone saw them. Not different from Saturday evening.
Any thoughts, anyone?

I've just stuck my nose in there, and though you are gone your message is still hanging there on the screen. Just above it, in the faintest grey, is the name of the person who sent it: i.e. you!

Sure is crazy when I go there. I see that folks are on as in their green light is next to their names, but most of the time no one answers when I leave a message either. I think people forget to turn the toggle switch if they don't plan on going to the chat otherwise their name shows as if they were active....
Don't forget to look at the little icon at the top of the chat on the right. It looks like a wheel sort of. You can click on it to open the sounds in case you are reading or typing and someone sends a message, you will hear a alert sound. You also can pop the whole room out and it becomes a seperate screen.
