It's 8.30 Sunday morning, the cicadas are chirping, the birds are sorta singing, the dog is inside finally after her night in the shed, and we have had breakfast. The temperature yesterday got to 35 degrees Celsius and man, it was a killer. Just put the aircon on because it's getting to 31 today and I want the house cool when I get back in from cleaning up the front yard.

All sounds lovely, though a bit too toasty for me! Here it is dark (-4) cold and my daughter has just dropped a whole newly made lemon cheesecake all over my floor and splattered it up the kitchen cupboards - wish I could start my day again, it has been a horrible, painful day ... think I'm pre-menstrual or something but it's all getting to me, just want to curl up and make it all go away. Hope your day turns out much better xxxxx

Aww Rachel,

Chin up, girl. One good thing about feeling crappy is that you will only get better. My day is going good. Front yard is done. Jo and I raked the leaves from the poxy gum trees and it's all mowed. Now it's time to sit back in the aircon and veg. I know your day/night will get better. I have faith...

Hugs ya,

Steve xoxo
