Strike two

Well friends the scans were terrible, my cancer grew during chemo radiation.

Of the three options discussed I chose to try a different chemo than the Folfox. I start next Thursday. I don’t know a whole lot yet but will this Thursday morning.

Stay well my friends.

Abe

Awwwe ...you'll be in my thoughts as I battle liver and kidney failure yet again for the 2nd time in three years all due to antibiotics to treat a lung infection. Hugs my friend 🫂

well, Rosebud, that just sucks. My niece is in total kidney failure. She’s hooked up to a machine every single night to for dialysis. I hope you get better. Sometimes life is just plain hard. Hugs, hon.

Well,I hope you niece pulls though. I had septic in 2020 and everything went into failure and was on dialysis. Thankfully I was able to get back up to stable function again and then in 2022 I caught some kind of stomach virus that made my kidneys go into failure once again. And found out there was fuild in my abdomen that tested positive for MAC (Baterial lung infection non contagious TB ) So I've been on 3 antibiotics for 7 mths and now they're causing liver damage and my kidneys to over work and inflammation in my bile duct. ( Biopsy was done and is negative for tumors or pancreatic cancer 😊) AND I have 5 more mths of treatment left .I've made it this far and Idk how ,but Im going to keep on going even tough somedays it's extremely hard....Thank you for your thoughts! 🫂

Abe and Rosebud, My heart goes out to both of you.  Whoever said that life is not fair, was the master of understatement.  You have both been through so much, and there is only one thing to do.  Keep fighting.  You are both survivors, and stronger than you think.  Hugs and good vibes coming your way.

Oh, dear friend,

I'm so sorry to hear about the disappointing news regarding your scans. It must be incredibly tough to receive such information, especially after going through chemo radiation. Please know that I'm here to lend my support and be a listening ear during this challenging time.

It takes immense courage to face these setbacks head-on and explore alternative options. I truly admire your strength in choosing to try a different chemo regimen. Change can be daunting, but it also brings hope and the possibility of better outcomes. I hope this new approach proves to be more effective for you.
