Hi, I was diagnosed with ColoRectal Cancer Stage 3 in 2008. I am in remission, thankfully. Have had colon resection, j-pouch, ileostomy, j-pouch reversal, colostomy, and finally have been left with 3-5 inches of small intestine attached to my anus. It is tied off and not hooked to anything. That is where I have diversion colitis. I have finally begun trying to treat it, and it's good to know what's causing me to get really ill from time to time. I am trying to find folks that may can help. Folks that may understand. Folks that like to laugh about it.... It has put me in a real small world. I miss the fun I used to have, and miss meeting women... But I don't know how to get past the unpredicted illness and lack of being able to make plans to have my friends back or find companionship. Basically, 7 years have been taken and I want it back!!
