Hiya. AJ is my name and pseudo-obstruction is my game (though I personally prefer Dragon Age: Inquisition). I'm a newly inaugurated triple threat: gastrostomy, jejunostomy, and ileostomy. I had my Big Deal surgery in August 2017 but I've had a g-tube for nearly a decade now. I'm finally starting to feel better and I'm hoping to actually talk to human beings (socializing: a radical idea, am I right?). Mostly, I'm looking to talk to anyone around my age (a venerable 26 years) as Young Ostomates are a rare thing indeed.
Update: I am an Official Permanent Ostomate as of January 2019 with an end ileostomy. And new J-Tube site, long story.
I enjoy RPG videogames, I dabble on guitar/ukelele, audiobooks occupy a good deal of my time, and the outdoors - especially anywhere by open water - is my favorite place I rarely get to be (off-roading isn't a priority in the manufacturing of wheelchairs - crazy, I know). I'm aiming for a degree in health information technology, as, just as I'm sure you can also attest to as well, I'm far too familiar with how the US medical system works - or rather, doesn't - and hopefully I will be able to do my part to improve it.
If you've stuck with me so far, congrats! You get a virtual cookie.
While I might not be the most consistent communicator, I am trying to improve. Hit me up :)
