Hello, I am a stage 4 colon cancer survivor. I was first diagnosed in 1999. I had surgery, chemo& radiation. Fast forward to 2020 and I was dealing with a bowel obstruction and ended up with a colostomy bag in 2021.my cancer was originally in my descending colon so it was actually colon-rectal cancer. I don't think I'm a good candidate for the reversal but I do have an appointment in October. I hate having the bag but I constantly flush it and keep it as clean as possible. It is what it is. The bottom line is I'm really lucky to still be alive.
