Ostomy Memories of Vaccine

LATER TODAY I’m scheduled to get my second vaccine shot (Moderna). The first one, four weeks ago, resulted in no reactions whatsoever. The vaccine here is being distributed by the county health department. I was surprised at how efficient and organized they were. Upon arrival the first time, there was a line of cars a mile long, but it moved along rather well. Health Dept. reps were out distributing forms, checking paperwork, verifying ID and that your name was on the appointment list, answering questions, going from car to car, and so all that was accomplished by the time we got to a tented area behind the building. There we handed in our forms and were shunted over to another building where we again got in line to be funneled through an open garage-like area where the shots were being given. You stayed in your car the entire time. After getting the shot, you moved into an exit line which was designed to take the necessary fifteen minutes to be sure no one had a dramatic, immediate negative reaction to the vaccine. Then you were done. All in all, it took seventy minutes. So, tomorrow, unless I’ve lapsed into a coma from the second shot, I’ll update this report.

Henry ,

Myfirst dose 12 days ago of the Pfizer was a similar experience. They were extremely helpful and it went thru fast even with 4 of us in the car . Friday we return for our second dose . Question ..... upon leaving after your second , we're you given back your stamped card , proof of getting the vaccine ? I know this card is needed to fly .

Hope we hear from you ...Congratulations, Ritz

Hi Henry i got my second shot2wk. ago fri. and it was at the local hosp. i was screened at the door for covid but not tested then on to an area away from reg. patients to fill out the form and then on to the shot, all in all about a half hour and out the door, my symptoms were sore shoulder and slight fever both times, now we have to wait for my wife to eligble for the next phase.

I have had my first shot and I am to get the second one on the 25th. I live in a small town and there was no waiting. I scheduled it online and had small amount of paper work.It only took about 45 minutes with the wait after the shot. It was all inside and very well set up. There were no after affects. Best wishes and stay safe

hello, i have had both doses of vaccine.i work at a medical facility and started mine 1/02 the second was 1/25. all has went well. the number of covid patients  has gotten back up to 50. the low for us recently was 17. our high was around 120. even though the community has done well with vaccines the cases are starting to rise again.
