I'm a new member so please bear with me. I am using a Sensura product bag, which they call the Rock and Roll. I tend to have loose movements so I have to be careful of what I eat (no salads, etc.) but even so, my bag fills up almost constantly, sometimes so fast, I worry about leaving my house. Because of this also, I use more bags than Medicare allows me, so I must buy additional bags, which as you know, are expensive. In talking to my supplier, she suggested a drainable pouch might solve my problem, but in looking at the bags on the Sensura website, I can't find the information I need. My main question is how large the bag is. I would appreciate any feedback on this problem. Thank you.

I'm not sure how big the bag is on those but if you're using a closed bag (you throw it away after it fills) and you're going that much, you definitely need a drainable bag.

I'm willing to bet if you call them, they'll answer all your questions and even send you some drainable samples to try before you switch. In the US, the number of Coloplast is 1-888-726-7872

I've never understood why anyone would use a closed end pouch that couldn't be easily emptied whenever necessary.  I love the Hollister that I wear:  the CeraPlus New Image 2-piece skin barrier (stock #11202) with a drainable pouch (stock #18122).  I never have leaks and it's easy on/off in just a few minutes when I change it out after wearing it for three days (I could probably go 4 or 5 days, but I prefer not to push it).

Hi Mchaney, have you tried using Imodium to thicken your output? I take one pill after each meal and have been doing so for years.

Drainable is the way to go... Look in some Coloplast supplies... I use them with barrier ring and get 7-8 day wear before changing. It saves tons... I worry about blowouts as I'm loose most of the time, so I secure with paper medical tape around the flange after it's on and still allows showers, etc., and simply dry with a hairdryer.
