You might want to try 1 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil. Works for me. Also, these can work in 30 minutes: Dulcolax Soft Chews. Both are gentle.

I drink a glass of Miralax every day without fail to keep my stool soft at all times. Doc says I can take it twice a day if I need to. If I skip a day, it's a problem. I had to adjust my diet too. I avoid meety meals unless I'm eating a ton of veggies with it. I worry about other laxatives as they can become problematic if taken long term.
