On my way to have an upper endoscopy and totally thought today was St. Patrick’s day ☘️. I blame not sleeping at all last night 😜

17th of March huh ...

I was previously married 38 years ago on the 17th March.

I started my current job 36 years ago on the 17th of March.

I bought my current house twenty years ago on the 17th of March.

Is the 16th here now, wonder if anything will happen tomorrow ....

I was looking up St Paddy's on youtube and this popped up!

I’ve only thrown up once since getting here but I was doing that off/on all day yesterday too hence part of the reason I’m here 😝

And thank you ☺️

Ok, you’re my favorite too for spelling my name right 😁. What is your first name btw I missed it somewhere?
They usually don’t intubate for this but they did me because I’d already thrown up once after I got there. The anesthesiologist was older and asked how I was and I told him puke-tastic. He was like what? Is that a new word? He thought it was so funny he went and got my Dr and told me to tell him how I felt 😁 I asked if I behaved coming out of anesthesia bc sometimes I don’t and they said I was just moving around a lot like a kid with adhd and I said sounds about right since I have adhd 🤣. Pretty sure i bit my lip and my voice is scratchy otherwise all good. Will get the biopsies back in about a week but he’s already having me schedule another test.

I just looked at my calendar next week now and it's not fun, its filled up with different tests/infusions.  I think I'm going on a strike from medical stuff. The one test is 4 hrs and the last time I had it my daughter was a baby so it's been a while, but I distinctly remember laying across a couple chairs trying not to throw up and them telling me if I threw up the whole test was cancelled.  But if today's and next week's don't show him what he's looking for there's one more he could do-but he added a new one today so who knows what he might suggest unless he feels I'm better served by the motility team again. I'm still trying to make up regular appointments from last year.

You’re too kind. Make up isn’t allowed and my hair was up to some crazy business especially after I asked them to wrap me up in blankets like a mummy 😆

You already spelled it the way he said it needed to be spelled so you're ahead of the game already :)

It's a lot to go through but if it gives you answers, I think it's worth it. It's still really hard, though. I just responded to another of your posts regarding this.....

Maybe this'll give you a laugh. Regarding coming out of anesthesia, I once had some dental work done and I needed to be put under some. Everything went fine but, when I returned for my follow-up appointment, he said, "Boy, you were interesting!" I thought, ugh, what did I do or say? Apparently, I was telling him about day drinking with my sister on Long Island decades ago. I left out the part where I was making out with a sailor and my sister was puking in the parking lot. At least I THINK I left that part out!😳 Ya just never know....

Woooo Lori lol

At least it wasn’t you throwing up on the sailor? 😉

I’m usually more afraid of what I’ll do coming out of anesthesia since I’ve been told I can combative (fight or flight I fight apparently).
With my shoulder surgery I woke up asking if the baby was there yet but my cousin was in labor when they put me under so my husband clarified no there really was a baby on the way just in Chicago not Ohio. But I did have a fun conversation with another nurse about Harry Potter and the plumbing at the hospital 🤦🏻‍♀️
