Meet & talk to fellow OstoMates 20,168 members

Hi, I should be getting my second and this time permanent stoma in two weeks time and just joined this site for some useful help and tips. I got sick out of the blue three years ago and after numerous invasive and embarrassing tests, they diagnosed me with puborectalis dysfunction. It's been a really tough three years and after trying everything possible to cure my condition (Biofeedback, botox injectections, temporary stoma, physical therapy) i have finally decided to accept a permanent stoma and move on with my life. A positive and optimistic attitude has kept me going all this time and i cant wait to finally start living again.
