In October, 2014, I underwent surgery to remove colon stricture from diverticulitis. Did not go well. Woke up in ICU with colostomy.
Second opinion last week to discuss reversal surgery. Second opinion same as first - too complicated, too risky, poor outcome. Although this surgeon said he would do it if I choose - he added if it were himself he would not take the risk.
Time to accept and move on.
I have a great sense of humor - love to laugh and make others laugh. I also enjoy taking walks, movies, travel, sailing, flying, theater, music and horses.
I have been blessed with so many friends that have helped me through this. Looking for new friends that understand the challenges that come with being an ostomate.
