About

UPDATE!!! 9-8-16 had a second ileostomy surgery 7-6-16 due to kinked up bowels. home again and finally AGAIN, going back to gym, riding motorcycle, social dancing. Return to work soon. still have mostly liquipoop and on opiate tincture to slow it down and thicken it a bit, but the med makes me tired and nauseous. 6 loperamide at a time does not touch it. a little success with baby rice cereal and psyllium mixed in my food. and those absorbent gel packs for the bag, so far only tried two companies, i like par sorb so far. but i need two sachets per bag.
I've had Crohn's since 16 years old. Two bowel resections, lots of meds, fistula abscesses. May 2 out of the clear blue felt off, sure enough fibrotic stenosis and balloon colonoscopy didn't open it enough. I opted for the permanent ileostomy on May 12. It's been a long battle and the last four years balancing just enough large colon from sigmoid to butt. With perineal disease.

So I'm looking forward to resuming my busy active crazy life of warrior dashes, mud runs, gym, swimming, playing with my kids. Stoma looks great. But it is not producing enough gas or poop so I'm dealing with my least fave ng tube. I'm hoping poop happens more and soon. This will b a learning curve but so was the last four years of poopin water 14x day.
