About
Hello! My name is Molly, and I'm hoping to meet likeminded folks on here, because who can really talk about these issues in their day to day lives?? A little about me: I was diagnosed in 2016 with stage 3 rectal cancer, which was fairly quickly treated between intensive radiation therapy and chemo. Unfortunately, it was the many years of complications that were the real fight for me thereafter, and learning I had to have a permanent colostomy as a result. Now I am approaching my five year mark of survivorship (yay!!) and have gotten into a rhythm with irrigation, which has helped me to move on and return to a semi-normal life again. The less depressing stuff: I am about to turn 28, now live in New England, and am in mental health and public policy research! Hoping to make a difference, and would like to return to volunteering, traveling, and finding a community with people who share similar values (and maybe even dating again? Who knows?)
