About
In July of 2017, I got a hole in my colon, evidently due to diverticulitis. I never knew I had that. Went into surgery, and ended up on life support. Had septic shock syndrome, too. My family was told I wouldn't survive (for the second time in 2017). Woke up on the 13th day of life support - they take tubes out on 14th day. When I woke up, I couldn't sit, stand, swallow, etc.; and it was quite a long rehabilitation. Now I am almost back to normal - except for my colostomy. Doing pretty good, though, and am thankful to be alive!! I would like to talk to anyone who has experience with diets, or any other experiences we have been through. Wishing everyone well!!
