I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 16. 14 years later, I have tried a dozen drugs, have a dozen diets, met with half a dozen doctors, and 2 naturopaths. No medication has relieved my symptoms. Recently I was told I had “rectal noncompliance”, which finally gave me an answer as to why I can’t control my bowels anymore. I have been seriously considering having surgery and have a consult scheduled in a few months. Hoping to gather some information from real people who have been there, done that.
