I am a late stage cancer survivor and have a permanent colostomy.

My friends would describe me as kind and thoughtful. I like to surprise my loved ones with little gifts or notes telling them how special they are to me. I love to cook and often make delicious treats for my friends and family.

I’ve succeeded in raising two fantastic kids as a single mom (they’re grown and on their own now) and most recently I succeeded in beating a curve ball life threw my way - late stage cancer.

I believe being nice matters. I’m slow to anger, the only thing that really lights my fuse is if someone goes after my friends or family.

I can be a little sassy. I like my independence and am pretty good at taking care of myself in spite of my limitations.

You may notice that I’m in a wheelchair in one of my photos. I don’t use it all the time and am capable of walking. I use it mostly because I have difficulty standing for long periods of time and also because I have a lot of nerve damage that makes sitting on certain surfaces very painful. With the wheelchair I can control what kind of surface I’m sitting on.

I have multiple minor deficits from the cancer and its treatment ranging from peripheral neuropathy to memory and balance issues. I’m an open book so feel free to ask me anything.
