I had my life saving surgery and Ostomy 5 years ago. Crohn’s disease for over 20 years. My husband was very supportive and through my own personal inadequate feelings over body transformation he was great. Unfortunately his career choices and my new found zest for improving my own career situation drove a wedge between us resulting in separating. This has affected me in relation to fears of not ever feeling safe enough with another man intimately. I can chat and laugh and I have a great humorous outlook in dealing with most things. I initially found this by a thread asking when and how to tell someone about your ileostomy. I’ve heard it all, once a guy gets to know you, your mind, your fun nature etc etc blah blah but it’s still a fear I struggle with. Loved the advice so far.... hoping to make friends and share ways of facing new waters in the world of dating. Diolch
