Hello everyone! I'm new to all of this and struggling like crazy. Mind, body and soul... I received my ileostomy July of 2021. It is a very high output ostomy and I've tried everything the doctor's have had me do on top of others suggestions. Nothing really seems to work to slow it down. I was engaged for 3 years at the time and out of the blue my fiance recently told me he wasn't in love with me anymore. Mainly due to all the stress it's causing us both due to my Crohn's disease and trying to get enough supplies to get me through each month. Besides being heartbroken I just feel defeated, lonely, worthless and have no one to talk to who can relate and be sympathetic to my condition. I am on here looking for friends or a serious relationship. It would be wonderful to finally have someone to talk to that is going through similar issues and problems. When Roma the Stoma isn't acting up I enjoy going to concerts, festivals, playing guitar and bass, drawing, making chainmail jewelry, running my small animal rescue where I take in birds, reptiles, invertebrates, amphibians, and exotic animals to find them new homes. I also love to travel, hike, swim, snorkel, go boating, jet skiing, amusement parks are awesome, I love target practice at the gun range, checking out art galleries or exhibits, museums, zoos, aquariums, and horseback riding. Granted I haven't tried swimming or rollercoasters since I received my bag, but both are calling my name! Lol! I'm also a foodie and love a good steak, watching movies and reading a lot of books! Before I became disabled I was an STNA and worked in nursing homes and provided home health care for the elderly and disabled. I was also a cosmetologist and a veterinary technician.
