I grew up in Brooklyn NY, and although I've lived in NJ for 38 years, I'm still a 'transplant" and consider myself a New Yorker. I've travelled extensively throughout the US, Mexico and the Caribbean. I've made it to many destinations in Europe and have been to China, Japan, South Africa & Australia as well. I found this site by accident, while I was researching a medical issue. I'm 62 year old woman with the spirit of a 25 year old. I've had an ileostomy since I was 15, and I haven't let it keep me from doing anything I've wanted to do. I was married for nearly 25 year, but am divorced for quite a few years. I have two grown sons, who are married and out on their own. I have a two year old grandson and a new grandchild on the way, a girl, due in October.
I went back to school as an adult, and completed the education I missed as a sick child. I'm a special education teacher, but persistant medical issues have made me retire earlier than expected. I have many interests, and especially love to travel. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends around the world.
