Hey everyone! Just joined a couple of minutes ago and already have a question. I've had my ostomy for almost 18 years and thought I'd seen everything, but now I think I may have herniated my stoma. It sticks out significantly more than it used to, and I have waste coming out through a hole in the side. Has anyone else experienced this? I have a doctor's appointment, but it's a ways off.

Having stool come out of a hole on the side sounds worse than just a hernia. I've never experienced anything like that or even heard of it. You might want to get it checked out sooner rather than later.
