So today I passed gas twice and I'm wondering where it is coming from? I've had an ileostomy for about a month and a half now.

First thoughts: What did you drink? What did you eat?

I meant the gas did not come from the ileostomy, but rather my inactive lower region.

What type of ileostomy do you have? What parts do you still have connected to your body's 'traditional' exit?

Oh yes, I have commented on this before - I refer to them as little "fartlettes" and they do make me giggle. I have an ileostomy as well - it is just 3 years old. The first "fartlette" was a shocker as I wondered what the heck?! Apparently, the air builds up in what is left of my colon and finds its way out - just like the good old days! Sometimes you just gotta laugh...

Not sure of the type. I have a stoma coming from the ileum with everything else still intact. It was done because of a bowel obstruction during chemo. This option got me back on chemo sooner. The plan was to reverse everything back to normal when I am done with treatment for my lymphoma.

I have an ileo 8yo and I fart regularly and quite enjoy it. My bottom was silent for the first year or so.
