Does anyone else irrigate?? if so has anybody any advice for irrigating abroad (i live in the uk and am going to spain for a holiday) All help and advice would be greatfully received thanks

hey good question, unfortunatly not everyone qualifies for irrigation. i would suggest you contact your dr. or stoma nurse. perhaps whoa will see this and give some imput. you must still posses some of your decending colon{if i remember correctly} and most with uc are unable because it{u/c} weakens the remaining portions. if you do qualify please give it a try.

In answer to gorgiepuss, I have traveled to many places during the 41 years I have had a colostomy.  I have always irrigated no matter where I may be including 3rd world countries and wilderness camping.  The main thing is make sure the water that is used is potable, and then be innovative.  Every situation is different so it pays to be creative.
