This topic is about a 9-year-old boy who has recently had an ileostomy and has given his stoma a playful name, "Patrick," inspired by the character from SpongeBob SquarePants. This light-hearted approach is shared by his parent, bringing a touch of humor and positivity to the situation.

Here are some pieces of advice and insights shared by others:

- Many people in the community are offering words of encouragement, praising the boy for his bravery and expressing their hopes for his well-being.

- This mentor has healthcare experience and has been involved in local ostomy support groups in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He invites the parent to reach out to him for advice, encouragement, and ongoing support, highlighting the importance of having more young male voices in support groups.
